Privacy at a Glance
We do not sell personal information or engage in third-party behavioral advertising. As part of maintaining a secure and reliable hosting environment, we log standard technical connection details, process essential email routing headers, and store functional website UI preferences locally on your device.
1
Daily Business & Technical Security Logging
As part of standard daily business operations, network reliability management, and proactive security monitoring, SpeedMax logs the technical interaction of your computer or device with the services hosted on our systems.
This technical logging is automatically generated by our web and server daemons (LiteSpeed Web Server, Apache, firewall filters, and cPanel daemons) and includes, but is not limited to:
-
•
IP Address: The remote Internet Protocol (IP) address and hostname of the connecting device or proxy.
-
•
User-Agent String: The browser identification string transmitted by your client software (detailing browser family, version, and operating system).
-
•
Request URI & Timestamps: The exact date, time, timezone, HTTP protocol method (e.g., GET/POST), requested URL path, and returned HTTP status codes.
-
•
Referring URL: The HTTP Referrer header indicating the webpage or external link that referred your browser to our site.
Discretionary Traffic & Fault Monitoring
SpeedMax may, at our discretion, monitor, inspect, and analyze network traffic, connection rates, and application error logs to diagnose hardware or software faults, maintain uptime, protect against cyberattacks (such as DDoS, port scans, and brute-force attempts), or investigate violations of our Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) ».
2
Email Communications & Mail Server Logs
For electronic mail transmitted, received, or relayed through our mail transport systems (Exim, Dovecot, and spam-filtering daemons), we automatically record relevant email transaction metadata, including:
-
•
Sender (envelope-from) and recipient (envelope-to) email addresses.
-
•
Originating and connecting mail server IP addresses and HELO/EHLO hostnames.
-
•
Timestamps, Message-ID headers, message sizes, delivery outcomes, and automated spam/malware inspection scores.
Mail routing metadata is processed strictly to deliver electronic mail on behalf of clients, prevent unauthorized relaying or spam distribution, ensure inbox deliverability, and maintain system integrity.
3
Log Retention & Storage Lifecycle
Technical access logs, security logs, and mail routing records are kept for as long as technically feasible up to legally permitted limitations. Logs may be retained for the duration necessary to diagnose faults, investigate security incidents, prevent system abuse, or comply with legal obligations.
4
Use of Local Storage & Browser Preferences
Our website utilizes standard client-side HTML5 Local Storage (localStorage) to enhance your browsing experience. Specifically:
-
•
Theme Preference (
theme): We store your chosen display mode (e.g., "dark" or "light") directly within your browser so that your preferred appearance is maintained as you navigate between pages or return on subsequent visits.
-
•
No Tracking or Profiling: This local storage key contains no personally identifying information, is never transmitted to advertising networks, and is used strictly for instantaneous front-end visual rendering.
You can clear or disable Local Storage at any time through your browser's privacy or site data settings without impacting your ability to view hosting plan information.
5
Customer Account & Subscription Data
When you register an account, order hosting services, or open support tickets via our Client Portal (my.speedmax.net »), we collect and store:
-
•
Full Name, Company Name (optional), and contact email address.
-
•
Billing address and transaction identification reference numbers.
-
•
Service configuration details (domain names, plan quotas, cPanel usernames).
Payment processing is performed securely via encrypted third-party payment gateways. SpeedMax does not store raw credit card numbers on local web servers.
